Allow me to give you a scenario. In this scenario, we are going to call our character, “Sally”. Sally being in a relationship, strongly thought her partner was the one. But as time passed, she realized he was not, and knew she had to get out of that relationship. What Sally realized was that she had been submitted to the wrong man. She felt like that was her knight and shining armor. She did not know how she was going to get out because of the nature of the relationship.
Although it took Sally some time to realize she was submitted to the wrong man, what she did the most, was pray day and night for clearance from that relationship. It is important for me to also mention, that while she was not sure her prayer would be answered. She prayed anyway.
Before I go further, I’d like to quote a part of the Bible that states, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” John 14:15.
1 Corinthians 15:33 also states, “Bad company ruins good morals”.
I am a believer in Jesus Christ. When I say, some of us are submitted to the wrong man, I am speaking from a Godly standpoint. I cannot tell you who you should date or marry, however, according to the Bible we all are the children of the Creator of the heaven and the earth. With that being said, how we ought to live, should be pleasing to our Creator that is Jesus Christ who is also God, at ALL times.
We are sinners, we are not perfect, and we do fall short. Our Creator knows this, hence the reason it is important we seek God for deliverance. We repent from our sins, and we allow our lives to be renewed and guided by the Holy Spirit.
Who is he submitted to?
It is only right we submit ourselves to a man who is also led by God. If our man is not submitted and seeking guidance from our Creator, then who or what is he submitted to?
Submitting to the wrong man is like having a bad companion. Having a bad companion will more than likely lead us down a bad part. Resulting in a lifestyle that is not pleasing to God.
If we as females are going to submit ourselves to a man, it means he has the ability to lead us. Not only lead us, but in a right way that is pleasing to our Creator. And if he has that ability, it means he has a great relationship with God and is being led by the Holy Spirit. He is disciplined to the calling on his life and allows himself to be led.
Submitting to the right man looks like being equally yoked, in God. Making God the head of our relationships. Allowing our relationship to glorify God.
